Hello,
We're currently in negotiations with a travel agent to handle our employee travel needs and I'd like to gather input from others. If you could take a moment to answer a few questions, I would greatly appreciate it.
1. Does your company utilize a travel agency for travel needs? Yes or No.
2. If your company utilizes an agency, do you require employees to utilize the agency or can they make their own arrangements?
3. If the employees must utilize the agency, does that also apply to Executive Management as well?
4. If an employee wants a spouse/family member to travel with them, do the requirements then change? Meaning, does the employee have to book the travel for the spouse or can it be done by the travel agency?
5. Does the travel agency book all aspects of the travel including hotel, transportation, etc. or do they book the airline travel only?
Thanks for your time.

1. We do have a travel agency, but can only book airfare.
2. We don't make it mandatory for staff to use; they can be reimbursed after the event if they rather book on their own. Prior to using the travel agency, an employee must set up an account with the travel department. The benefit for employees to use the travel agency is that the cost comes directly out of the hospital budget, rather than having to front the money.
3. NA
4. The travel agency can book for the spouse/ another attendee as well and the employee can pay for the additional person via credit card.
5. answered in #1.
