Aloha everyone,
My name Kim and I have been a member of AHCAP for 5 years now. I am originally from Seattle, but moved to Hawaii 10 years ago. I am the Executive Assistant to our EVP/CIO and our System CMO. I joined AHCAP to further my knowledge of Healthcare topics. I have had the pleasure of serving on the AHCAP Board for the past 4 years. I have been a member of the Membership Committee and currently am a member of the Communications Committee. I love being a part of the committees and Board as it gives me an opportunity to grow and network with so many people. I look forward to continuing my AHCAP membership for many years to come.
Mahalo, Kim

Good day, my name is Lisa and I work in Duluth, MN where it's said to be "warmer by the lake" in the winter! As an executive assistant, I support our SVP, CMO and numerous leaders within the Division of Integrated Care Delivery at Essentia Health. One day, while conducting a google search for my SVP, this AHCAP site appeared - circling back I joined only after a brief glance. Then as a member, I realized that the education committee would provide value to my career, so I asked to join the education committee. It's been an amazing journey participating in monthly meetings with professionals from across the country. My goal is to someday attend conference to meet these amazing professionals!

Hello,
My name is Chantal Olayo. I reside in Las Vegas, and I am currently pursuing a Masters in Healthcare Administration after transition from commercial property management. I would like to join a committee to gain more experience. I checked Facebook for a local chapter in California, but I didn't find anything. Is there a Southern California chapter? That would be the closest to me, since Las Vegas doesn't have one. What is the process for starting a local chapter?

I'm ashamed to say that I've been in the healthcare industry my whole career 17+ years; with 13 of those as an assistant and am just discovering this. I currently work at DaVita supporting our CDO and CMO and am seeking mentoring/development and further training in the healthcare industry that will further my career.

Hello! My name is Micci (pronounced Mickey) Gillespie. I am the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO and the Vice President/Quality Improvement Officer at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. I also support the Board of Trustees and a variety of other leaders. I was a member and leader in IAAP and achieved my CAP-OM in 2011. When IAAP reorganized and dissolved the chapters and divisions, I did not renew my membership. Although I have an extensive background as an administrative assistant, I have only worked in healthcare for 2 1/2 years. It has been the best career move of my life! Because of IAAP, I knew I wanted to be part of some kind of professional association. I found AHCAP by searching online. I hope to sit for the cHAP in the next few years (I need a few more points to qualify). I am very interested in attending the annual conference in Las Vegas this summer, as I hope to begin to network, learn more about AHCAP and possibly serve on one of the committees or a leadership role in the future.

Hi! My name is Joanna and I am an executive assistant to the VP of Accreditation, Professional and Support Services, as well as the Executive Director for our Physician clinics. I just joined today. I was not aware the AHAP was around until I saw you on FB. It is nice to have a 'healthcare' related association out here! I have worked in the hospital/healthcare setting for almost 15 years, prior to that it was in the oil field industry. I am a member of the IAAP and achieved my CAP in 2015. I am interested in the cHAP in the future and would like to hear thoughts from current members about the cHAP. Thanks in advance!

Applause I hate that I missed the conference in Vegas in July. However, I am determined to make it to the conference in Atlanta next year. I hope to meet you all there.
